Our aim is to create a space that makes everyday life enjoyable and simple – a space that you love. It’s not just about contemporary design; it’s about pieces that will provide comfort, enhances your lifestyle and express your personality.
The Design Stages
1 – Gathering information
In our first discussion, we will develop preliminary specifications for the proposed project, working with any photos, measurements and floor plans if you have them.
We will then go to your space and see what is already there, where the light is coming from, what’s on the floors, paint colours, etc. We will take photos and measurements and discuss with you what you are trying to achieve.
2 – Design development
Develop a detailed design including as necessary, furniture placement, visuals and photographs or sketches of selected furniture & accessories.
CAD impressions of the proposed design which include the correct positioning of the furniture, the correct size of the furniture and the layout.
List of recommendations.
Prepare specifications and quotations for furniture, fabrics and accessories.
3 – Design presentation
We present our recommendations to you in-store.
We explain the design rationale - why we have made the choices we have.
Present CAD drawings.
Present sample boards.
Present colour palettes.
Provide proposed budget.
4 – Customer approval
When you’re happy with our recommendations and confirm your order.
Collating final drawings and documents.
Provide production schedule for bespoke items.
Production of & coordination of schedules.
Ensuring competitive quotes by evaluating and negotiating pricing with suppliers & contractors.
5 – Installation
Arranging delivery and installation.
Interior styling if required.
1-1.5 hours for site visit.
At least 2 hours to prepare the recommendation.
About 1 hour to present and discuss the recommendation.
Interior design service – terms and conditions
Interior design services are charged at a rate of $100 per hour (includes GST).
For every $1,000 spent on furniture an hour of the design fee will be deducted from your final invoice.
The deduction can be applied up to six months from the final consultation.
The interior design service charge is non-refundable if an order for recommended products is not placed.
All time spent working on interior design is chargeable, whether at a customer’s location or at Dwell.
Quotations are valid for 14 days.
Invoices for consultancy are due seven days from the date of invoice.
Placing an order
Please check all the details on your proposed order are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.
A 50% deposit is required prior to the placement of orders.
Dwell accepts payments via cash, debit card, credit card or via direct bank transfer.
If you have placed an order then wish to change or cancel it, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try our best to make any changes but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so, as your order may already have commenced or been completed.
Furniture and furnishing items delivery times may differ for individual suppliers.
Delivery times are estimates only. Production of custom-made items varies depending on the supplier and is dependent on access to the supply of materials, production schedules, etc.
In the unlikely event that an item becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Dwell reserves the right to cancel your order. If a suitable alternative cannot be sourced a refund will be given.
Delivery fees are not included and can be quoted upon placement of your order.
